natural numbers) are:
3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18………………..48
The numbers that are multiple of 4
(from first 50 natural numbers)
are:
4, 8, 12, 16…………………….48
The numbers that are multiples of
3 and 4 both are the multiples of
3×4=12 as both 3 and 4 are co-
prime.
So common multiples are:
12, 24, 36, 48
Therefore probability is:
P (multiple of 3 and 4) = 4/50
⇒ P (multiple of 3 and 4) = 2/25
